For Daniel and Olivia Brush, studio and life were inseparable — and this book is built around their practice. Photographs of the studio by Carly Lapidus, made in close collaboration with Olivia Brush, are distributed across three sixteen-page sequences that open, interrupt, and close the book, framing a central section of Daniel’s work. The sequence of that work follows links in material and form: steel into copper, copper into gold, gold into diamonds and silver, closing with playful animal forms in plastic studded with diamonds. The font, Authentic Sans Condensed 90 heads each section — its unconventional character a reflection of Brush’s spirit — while Domaine Text Regular carries the body text. A spot Pantone silver, matte and restrained, marks each transition. The book was printed in four colours with a matte machine varnish on Sappi Magno Volume 150gsm, Sirio Color Jasmine for the endpapers, and Wibalin Natural for the hardcover.
